Boxoft Audio Converter is an excellent audio file converter which is not limited to just one input and output format; it supports APE, MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, FLAC, and TTA formats.
The program has three operational modes: batch converter, hot directories, and command line.
With the Batch Convert mode you can convert files in just three steps. First, you have to add the audio file(s) to be converted. Then, you select the output format. Finally, you need to click the "Audio Converter" button. You can adjust different parameters according to the output format that is selected. Just to mention some of them: for the MP3 format you can set the bit rate, sample rate, channels, format, and Mp3 bit. For the APE format (Monkey's Audio format) you can adjust the compression level, sample rate, channels, and bit per sample. For the WAV (Waveform Audio File Format) you can adjust the wav bit, sample rate, channels, and encoding method. The Batch Convert mode also has a CD ripper.
With the Hot Directories mode you can monitor a directory; if a new audio file is added, the program converts the file into another audio format and sends it to an output directory automatically.
The command line mode allows you to convert audio files from the command line.
